Jack in Time

synopsis

An old man travels back through time to instruct his younger self on how to live a better life.

Bios

Frank Fazio (Jack) is excited to be making his off-off-Broadway debut at The Chain Theater! He regularly performs with the community theater companies in his home borough of Staten Island. Some of his favorite roles include Officer Barrel in "Urinetown: The Musical" (Ghostlight Players, 2024) and the First Man in "Kiss Me, Kate" (Spotlight Repertory Theater Company, 2024). He would like to thank Mike, Matt, and Aria for a fun rehearsal process and their friendship. Frank would like to thank his family and friends for supporting his creative endeavors, as well as the audience for supporting NYC community theater. 

Matt Gilleece (Older Jack) is a Staten-Island based actor and playwright who has appeared in several of Mike Veasey's plays over the years, and vice versa. Most recently, Mike starred in Matt's "Custom Options", which won "Best Script, One Act" at the Gene Frankel Theater's Winter Festival. Matt is very thankful for the frequent cross-collaborations and looks forward to more.

Aria (Anna) is an actor, writer, and director who graduated from New York University’s undergraduate film program in 2021. She has since worked as an archival researcher for documentaries and as a Media Desk Specialist at NBC News. She currently serves as a Digital Media Production Specialist on the HBO Max Marketing Media Team and is editing her first post-graduate short film, Silhouette, which she co-directed with Alana James.

Mike Veasey (playwright/director) is thrilled to be directing his third production at Chain Theatre, following his own script Ghostgrabbers in the 2024 Summer Festival and Lou Stone Borenstein’s The Best of Constance and Florence in last year’s Winter program.  Mike is an actor, comedian, and playwright who has had his work staged by such companies as Sundog Theatre, the Seat of Our Pants Theatre, and the Peopla’s Improv Theatre. Marco Polo at the Everything Store

Synopsis

Near closing time in an off-price department store, a self-involved customer begins a game of Marco Polo in hopes of tracking down her boyfriend. She is horrified when, instead, she summons her future self and must confront her life choices, while the employees just want to go home.

BIOS

Rachel Hunt/Writer is a writer, actor, and visual artist from South Florida currently living in Brooklyn. She originally studied theater arts at Stetson University, then a decade later completed a degree in English at the University of North Florida. At both schools, she minored in creative writing. Her plays have been performed in Florida, Chicago, and New York City, and her art has been featured in publications like The Gilded Gazette.

Corey Reiter/Director/Bradley and Overhead Announcements is a Michigan-born and raised actor, having worked bothon stage and in film here in NYC. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Corey has provided his talents to the theater as an actor, playwright, and director. Corey's theatrical credits include well-known pieces such as The Importance of Being Earnest and Spoon River Anthology. Corey currently has two full-length plays being workshopped in the NYC off-broadway community. He would like to thank Rachel Hunt for the trust and opportunity to help bring her play, Marco Polo at the Everything Store, to life. 

Jillian Millette/Jess is an actor, singer, and songwriter based in New York City. Completing her education at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in Musical Theatre, she has been grateful to be a part of the NYC and regional theatre scene. Credits include: Belle u/s & Swing, "Beauty & the Beast" (The Legacy Theatre), Billie Jean King & Others, "Joan Joyce: The New Musical", and, most recently, the Female Swing in the new rendition of "Almost Famous" (A.C.T. of CT). Jillian can also be found performing her original music across the city and is excited to be part of the Chain Theater Festival. Bailey McCaan/Betsy is just a clown living in the skin of a girl. (Or vice versa)The bastard child of Weird Al and Jayne Mansfield’s ghost, she was born and raised on the eastern border of the middle of Nowhere and a general feeling of Ennui. She doesn’t know what she’s doing. In a fun way, probably.  She’s studied with The Barrow Group, Stan Zimmerman, Gwyn Gillis, and many others; most recently/frequently with Young Actors Space. She recently appeared on stage at/in/with (?) the Women’s Playwright Festival at the Ivoryton Theatre in Ivoryton CT. Other recent credits include The Keeper, Moments of Youth, This is Bushwick as well as a forthcoming Maybelline commercial. Thank you to Rachel and Corey and hello to the Chain Theater! 

Amie Amis/Old Jess is originally from Los Angeles, Amie studied Meisner technique (Ted Bardy Studio), improv and sketch (People’s Improv Theatre), and took two degrees in music performance (University of Northern Colorado and University of Miami). Embracing her roles with grace, moxie, and mischief, she has blown away audiences with her whirlwind of talent on stage and on camera in the last decade. Her most recent roles are as Dana, currently in the new film, Sleeping With Gus (screening at festivals 2025) and on stage as Inez in Jean-Paul Sartre’s No Exit at Philadelphia’s Fringe festival, Brigid in The Maltese Falcon, Maribel in George S. Kaufman’s Helen of Troy, NY, Hero in Much Ado About Nothing, and Eleutheria in Ubu in Chains.

John Meehan/Old Jace is an actor, writer, and improviser who’s excited to be part of the American Mime Theater Company. He’s an alumnus of Second City Hollywood Conservatory, Improv Olympic West, Pack Theater improv, sketch writing, TV writing, character performance, and clown/physical comedy programs. He was a performer and writer at Second City Hollywood for six years as part of their house ensembles. He wrote and performed his 1-person play A Shot Of Courage at various regional comedy festivals such as Solocom, Uptown Comedy Festival in Utica, Hudson Valley Comedy Festival, Miami Improv Festival, and QED Astoria. He has also performed in regional and Off-Off Broadway plays. He also studied the Strasberg Method of acting for six years at Venie Actors Studio in Florida,

Bios

Andrew Ugh (PLAYWRIGHT, DIRECTOR) is a playwright, filmmaker, and musician. His plays have been produced by RiffRaff NYC and Perfect10’s, and his short film A Hotter Shower (2025) won Best Indie Short at the East Village Film Festival. Eli Mazursky (JOHN CRUMB) is an actor/writer/producer/photographer based in Prospect Heights. He is a founding member and Co-Artistic Director of Making Our Space Theatre Co., and a co-host of their monthly variety show NOVAS. He’s excited to share with you this very true and tragic story.

The Makeout Session

Two high school seniors—one bold, one seemingly shy—sneak away for what appears to be a secret makeout session on a cliffside overlook. But as the girl pushes for connection, the boy's awkwardness takes a strange turn. What starts as teenage flirtation unravels into a chilling revelation. How does one find connection when we are designed to follow the rules? Find out in this dark comedy that explores love, technology, and our desire to dive head first into the great beyond.

Bios

Meghan Covington (Playwright)
Meghan Covington is a NY based playwright, performer, and producer with an affinity for the experimental. Her work as a playwright has been featured at The Tank, The Musco Center, Phillipstown Depot Theatre, and River’s Edge Theatre Company. As an actor she has performed in NYC at The Tank, Theatre for the New City, and The Brick, as well as regionally at The Kennedy Center, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Co, Shakespeare Theater Company, Roundhouse Theatre, and Synetic Theatre. Meghan currently serves as Artistic Director of River’s Edge Theatre Company just north of NYC in Hastings on Hudson, NY.

Traci Redmond (Director)
Traci Redmond is a theatre-maker and performer focused on collaborating with artists to develop new work. She served as Artistic Director of Ratutu Collaborative (Queens) and Managing Director of Red Chair Theatre (Atlanta), and frequently works with River’s Edge Theatre (Hastings-on-Hudson). She is currently developing a show based on her experience as a Stage IV colon cancer survivor. Traci advocates for congressional funding, policy, research and public education. Noni Alley (Girl)
Noni Alley (they/them) is an actor, producer, and award-nominated VoiceOver artist based in NYC. An acting alumnus of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, with a background in circus arts, Noni performs in live theater, film, animation and audiobooks. Recent work: Sadie The Goat in Peek-A-Boo, Valentine in Twelfth Night, Sterling and Tezcatlipoca in It Has His Eyes, and narration of Come Home and Come Close audiobooks.

Donovan Counts (Boy)
Donovan Counts (he/him) is excited to return to the Chain Theater in Makeout Session! Some recent credits include Miss Fairfield County: The Pageant: The Musical (NY Theater Festival), Legally Blonde (Sceneworks Studios), and An Exaltation of Larks (Chain Theater One-Act Festival). An AMDA grad, he has also trained with industry professionals Lisa Campbell Albert and Matthew Corozine Studios. Many thanks to my family and Taryn for their unwavering support!
