Synopsis 

A Mask & A Whisper is a showcase of two one act comedies written by Alice Gerstenberg. Overtones and He Said She Said. 

Overtones : Two women meet for tea, but beneath their genteel conversation, their unspoken thoughts reveal a far less polite reality. As Harriet and Margaret navigate the rituals of friendship, manners, and social expectation, their inner selves emerge to say what their outward selves cannot. What begins a s a perfectly proper afternoon tea becomes a battle between appearance and desire, and a reminder that the things we think are often far more revealing than the things we say.

He Said She Said : 

A single whisper. One dinner party. Four friends. Two

reputations ruined over an accusation no one can verify.

A s competing versions of a story unfold, memory,

perception, and self-interest collide in a tangle o f who said

what, who did what, and what really happened. In this

playful exploration o f human nature, everyone has a version

of the truth, and some have n o intention of letting it get in

the way of a good story.
